Hi Patricia!
ReplyDeleteIs the GAYC a state level NAEYC? In Michigan, we have the MiAEYC. I am just wondering if they serve the same purposes. You chose to discuss the accreditation position available. Is this something you could see your self doing? If you could create a dream position at one of these organizations, what would it be? I would love to be a journalist for the NAEYC!
Oh! I agree with Heather. Becoming a journalist and contributor for the NAEYC would be amazing. I am not great at research however and would much rather become an author. There are several opportunities through NAEYC to contribute photos and articles to the YC magazine. THank you for the info. I do not believe I would want to become an accreditation specialist, too much paperwork, not enough child/family contact.
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you found some great international resources. I also looked into NAEYC as one of the leading organizations advocating for early childhood education. They had job opportunities posted from all over the world. Looking into all of these different possibilities as started to stir some real curiosity for me. Do you think you will pursue any of the opportunities you have looked up in the last few weeks?
Hi Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI also chose the NAEYC as a resource. Being able to be a journalist for them would be amazing! Do you think you will pursue employment with the NAEYC or any other of the agencies? Many of the jobs that I came across did not offer positions in my state. It would be great to work for any of the organizations researched, but moving out of state to pursue these jobs is not possible for me right now. Thank you for sharing.
Patricia,
ReplyDeleteThe job for the Accreditation Coordinator sounds exciting. I helped lead the accreditation process at the preschool I was previously employed at and enjoyed every second of it. The accreditation process gives you insight to each center that you normally wouldn't see.
